![]() Some might take this as a challenge, some may prefer a less laborious direction. Track R&R is probably like most things sporting, or mechanical, the more you do it the easier it gets. If I had the need, I'd be on my way up to buy yours from ya, but I don't get enough snow to justify. Now personally, I have no experience with tracks. As an aircraft mechanic for 22 years, and now a Facilities Engineer, I get myself in a mechanical pickle more often than I'd like to admit, but that's how we grow. If we all bailed out every time we struggled with our machine, we wouldn't be on this Forum. To the OP, don't beat yourself up on this. It was my ignorance that caused the removal trouble. These are the 4S tracks and fit a 2010 800XP - may fit others but I am not sure. I have a pallet and can ship them or local pickup. All the parts are there except one nut that I rounded with vice-grips. If anyone wants them, send me a PM or email me at dverna001 at aol dot com. The tracks have not been used much - the stickers are still on running surface of the tracks - the service guy could not believe it. I am not going to deal with making the switch over twice a year. No way a normal person can do it in that time. Anyone doing it alone in 45 minutes is strong, very talented and has the right lift. There is some fiddling around needed to remove the brackets so it is NOT pull the tracks off and put on the wheels. Of course, I do not have a hoist - only a floor jack and stands. My mistake.īut, with a mechanic from the dealer (who is Extreme Power Sports in Gaylord - and did a super job responding to my dilemma) it still took us over an hour and a half to remove the tracks and put on the wheels. I did not install them, so I took off the bolts holding the drive sprocket to the hub.
